Chamber

Chamber music is one of Julie's main passions and has featured in her musical life for many years. 

The London Myriad Ensemble, a flexible ensemble consisting of a core wind quintet with added instruments, has been a focal point for Julie's chamber music-making. As International First Prize Winners, the London Myriad Ensemble have appeared in solo recitals at the Purcell Room - Southbank Centre, London and have performed live on BBC Radio 3.

The Woodlark Duo, which consists of Julie Groves on flute and Laura Snowden on guitar, is a fairly new venture - although they have already performed at Festivals in the UK - and the pair are particularly inspired by contemporary works for flute and guitar although they thoroughly enjoy all varieties of music and also perform for functions and weddings. Both Great Britain and Ireland First Prize winners of the LIONs International Music Competition (in separate years in their own disciplines!), they have both represented their country in the Europe Finals.

The Ashgrove Duo, with Ashley Hards on guitar, enjoys much of the Latin literature for flute and guitar, playing for a variety of functions across the UK.

Julie also performs alongside Ahmed Dickinson, guitarist, for various occasions.
