Solo Duo

Julie performs regularly as a duo with Yuki Negishi - international pianist. Having worked together for a number of years, they have performed the majority of the flute and piano repertoire and enjoy a fantastic rapport giving concerts in and around London at venues including St Martin in the Fields Trafalgar Square and Blackheath Halls.

Yuki and Julie have also given a number of charity evening performances together, notably for St Catherine's Hospice raising over £2000 in total for the charity across two concerts.

Julie has also given a number of concerto performances including Frank Martin's Ballade and Khatchaturian's Concerto with a performance of Mozart's Flute and Harp Concerto in 2011. A live recording of Martin's Ballade is available from Divine Art on Dunelm Records (cat no.DRD0189) 'La musique enchantee' (2002).

 

Julie spent a Summer Season as the Solo Classical Act in the famous, long-running 'Seaside Special' in Norfolk in 2007, performing to 1000 people a day for over 3 months. Julie performed alongside entertainers Steve Hewlett (ventriloquist) and Peter Piper (comedian), Harvey James and Louise Franck.
